Boris Mikhailovich Butaev

Boris Mikhailovich Butaev was a pharmacologist, a candidate of medical sciences and a docent. He was the youngest of the three children of Mikhail Fyodorovich and Ekaterina Butaev, and the younger brother of Tamara and Georgiy Butaev.

He graduated from the North Ossetian State Medical Institute and completed postgraduate study in Leningrad. For a number of years he headed the department of pharmacology, and later served as dean of the medical faculty of the North Ossetian State Medical Institute. He developed several new pharmaceutical preparations. Colleagues and students remembered him for his honesty, integrity and decency.
