Yesterday was the day when I decided to spend minimum efforts and to make a delicious and healthy dinner. Frankly speaking, I’m a little bit sick of all these meat, fish and chicken dishes. That’s why dumplings were exactly what I needed.

Dumplings can be served with sugar, jam, sour cream or just mashed berries. And also the dish will taste especially delicious if you fry them till a golden colour after boiling.

Ingredients:

  1. Cottage cheese, 150 gr.
  2. Flour, 2-3 table spoons.
  3. Sugar, 2 table spoons
  4. 2 Eggs
  5. Butter, 1 table spoon.
  6. A punch of salt

Preparation:

  1. Sift the cottage cheese or mash thoroughly with the help of a fork. Add the eggs and mix well.
  2. Add salt, sugar, soft butter and mix carefully.
  3. Add flour and make dough. It should be elastic.
  4. Form a ball and cut it into 4 equal pieces. Make a roll (2-3 sm. in a diameter) of every piece.
  5. Cut every roll into pieces (1,5- 2 sm. each). Roll in every piece in flour.
  6. Pour some water into a pan. Add some salt. Bring to a boil.
  7. Put the dumplings into boiling water and boil over a low heat for 5 min. (you can turn the cooker off, 1 minute after the dumplings will come to the surface)
  8. Take the dumplings out of the pan with the help of a skimmer. Serve with butter or sugar.
