Sometimes I want to return in my childhood, but I can’t do it in the reality. But I can recall it thanks to the familiar things, my granny’s straws for example.

This dish will make your family glad, your son won’t beg you for something sweet and your husband will be able to keep his patience until you serve lunch or dinner.

Time for preparation: 10 min

Ingredients:

  1. 100g sour-cream
  2. 1 egg
  3. Salt
  4. Flour (as much as needed)
  5. Vegetable oil
  6. Sugar powder

Preparation:

  1. Pour sour-cream into a bowl, add an egg and stir.
  2. Pour flour and salt and knead stiff pastry.
  3. Roll out a thin pancake and cut it into wide stripes about 8 cm wide.
  4. Make a cut in the middle of the pieces but do not cut it up to the end.
  5. Bend each stripe and pass 1end through the cut – a straw is formed.
  6. Fry the straws with oil and put it into a calendar.
  7. Put them on a plate and sprinkle with sugar powder.
