Judging by my experience of making jam (I’ve been preparing jam for several years already), I can say that the most delicious jam comes out of the last harvest. At that time the berries are the sweetest and the most suitable for jam.

Today I’m going to tell you a secret how to make jam but not porridge. If you stick strictly to the following instructions you will succeed in making your jam delicious.

Ingredients:

  1. Strawberry, 1 kg.
  2. Sugar, 1 kg.

Preparation:

  1. Remove all the leaves and stems, dry the strawberries.
  2. Put the strawberries into a pan, add sugar and let it stay 24 hours (a night will do) at room temperature.
  3. Put the pan over a low heat, bring to a boil. Switch off the cooker 3 minutes after boiling.
  4. Let it cool and repeat the procedure every 8-12 hours (minimum 2 times).
  5. Put dry and clean jars into a preheated oven for a couple of minutes. Pour the jam into them and cover with pasteurized lids.
