This dish is uncommon for us, it is popular in China. I cooked it some days ago and didn’t expect my family to love it so much. It’s very quickly cooked and very tasty. If you try it, you would cook it again and again.

Time for preparation: 5 min
Time for cooking: 25 min

Ingredients for 4-6 portions:

  1. 6 mushrooms 
  2. 8 spoons of oil 
  3. 1 big carrot 
  4. 100g sweet peas (pea pods) 
  5. 225g pork kidneys 
  6. 1 spoon of sesame 
  7. 1 spoon of chicken broth 
  8. 1 teaspoon of salt 
  9. 1 teaspoon of sugar 
  10. 1 spoon ofsoy sauce 
     

Preparation:

  1. Cut mushroom legs. Chop caps into stripes 5 mm wide. 
  2. Slice carrot diagonally finely. 
  3. Heat 3 spoons of butter in a pan, fry the carrot and pea pods for 1 min. 
  4. Add salt, sugar, soy sauce and broth. Cook for 2 min. 
  5. Put the vegetables into a saucepan and cover with a lid to prevent them from chilling. 
  6. Cut kidneys into halves lengthwise. Cut out the white middles and fat with scissors. On the round side make some deep cuts shaped like a grid. If the halves are big cut them into two. Pieces should be about 30 mm in size. While cooking the cuts will open like flowers. 
  7. Heat the rest of oil. 
  8. Fry the kidney flowers for 15-20 min. Put them on the vegetables with a skimmer and mix all the ingredients carefully. 
  9. Put the dish on a plate and sprinkle with fried sesame. 

 Advice:

You can use frozen vegetables for the dish. It will taste even better!
