Salad with meat and vegetables “Nikifor”The ingredients are easily found in shops both in the winter and in summer. Fried vegetables give special taste, and it looks nice thanks to the special kind of slicing the ingredients. Despite the fact that the components are simple, the salad is delicious and flavoured. You can cook it for an ordinary family dinner and for a holiday party. It depends on your fantasy to decorate the dish and to serve it.

Time for preparation: 15 min
Time for cooking: from 30 min to 1,5 hour, it depends on the kind of meat

Ingredients for 8 portions:

  1. 1 beet 
  2. 1 carrot 
  3. 1 onion 
  4. 200g beef or chicken breasts 
  5. ¼ cabbage 
  6. Oil 
  7. 250g mayonnaise 

Preparation:

  1. Boil beef or chicken meat. Chicken needs 30 min to be ready. Beef needs much more time. (If you use loin – 40 min, other meat – 1.5 hour.) Slice the beef into thin stripes.
  2. Peel fresh beet, grate it like Korean carrot, in thin long stripes. Fry it a little on a pan with some oil. Put on a plate to chill.

  7. Pour mayonnaise on the top.
  8. Mix before eating.

Advice:
You can add chopped fried mushrooms in the salad. Then put them on the meat and onion.
