Kinglike potatoes in foilThe appearance of the dish alone can lead us to the past, to the times of great royal feasts. That is what I see when cook these potatoes. Aside from being a garnish, it can also be a main dish. All the more so it is cooked very simply: you wrap potatoes in foil for several minutes and put it into the stove and forget about it for more than an hour.

And don’t spare the sauce; it is the sauce that forms the taste.

Time for preparation: 1-1.5 hour

Ingredients:

  1. 500g potatoes of equal size
  2. Vegetable oil
  3. 150g sour-cream
  4. 100g mayonnaise
  5. 1 pickle
  6. 2-3 cloves of garlic
  7. 15g dill
  8. Grounded black pepper
  9. Foil

Preparation:

  1. Wash potatoes and smear them with oil.
  2. Cut pieces of foil 30×30cm in size. The number of pieces depends on the number of potatoes.
  3. Put a potato on a piece of foil and wrap it carefully.
  4. Make sauce: mix sour-cream, mayonnaise, chopped pickle, chopped garlic and dill.
  5. Bake the potatoes in the stove for 1-1.5 hour. The time depends on the size of the potatoes. In the end you can take out 1 potato and pierce it with a knife. If it is easily pierced, it is ready.
  6. Unwrap each potato carefully and cut potatoes into 4 pieces and pour them with the sauce. Wrap the foil and leave for 5-10 min.
  7. Serve the potatoes as a garnish.
