Honey cakes “Mead”I often want to cook something delicious for my family. But I hardly have time to cook anything the whole evening. I offer you a recipe of simple but at the same time very tasty cakes. You won’t expand your energy. You family will be glad!

Ingredients:

For the pastry:

  1. 3 eggs
  2. 1 spoon of sugar
  3. 3 spoons of honey
  4. 2 glasses of flour
  5. 1 teaspoon of household soda
  6. 1 glass of sour-cream
  7. Parchment

For the cream:

  1. 1 glass of sugar
  2. 200g soft butter
  3. ¼ glass of milk
  4. 4 spoons of cacao

For the chocolate fondant:

  1. 2 spoons of sour-cream
  2. 2 spoons of sugar
  3. 2 spoons of cacao
  4. 30g butter

Preparation of the pastry:

  1. Break eggs into a bowl and add sugar. Whisk it with a mixer.
  2. Add soda to sour-cream and mix.
  3. Pour 3 spoons of honey into the egg mixture, add sour-cream and whisk with a mixer.
  4. Pour in flour and mix.
  5. Put parchment on a large baking tray, pour the pastry on it and bake at the temperature of 150˚C.

Preparation of the cream:

  1. Mix milk with sugar and heat on the cooker until the sugar melts.
  2. Chill the boiled mixture.
  3. Whisk it with butter with a mixer.

Preparation of the fondant:

  1. Pour sugar and cacao into a saucepan and mix.
  2. Add sour-cream and butter, mix and heat.
  3. Boil the mixture, stirring, until it’s ready.

Cut the ready pastry into 2 pieces along if it thick and across if it is thin and large.
Smear the lower piece with the cream, cover with the other piece of pastry and smear it with the cream too. Pour the fondant over the top.
Cut into pieces and decorate with nuts or cream roses.

Advice:

You can make another cream: whisk sour-cream with sugar.
It’s not necessary to cook the fondant. You can just decorate them with nuts.
