This is a very tasty dish, but you need some patience to cook it. It’s cooked and served with garnish and that’s its main advantage.

Time for preparation: 15 min
Time for cooking: 2 hours

Ingredients for 6 portions:

  1. 1.4kg beef fillet
  2. 2 spoons of flour
  3. 25g butter
  4. 2 spoons of oil
  5. 600ml beef broth
  6. 400g canned tomatoes or 500g fresh tomatoes
  7. 1 spoon of tomato sauce
  8. 450g small onion

For trickled pastries:

  1. 100g flour
  2. 2 teaspoons of leavening agent
  3. Salt
  4. 1 egg
  5. 25g butter
  6. 150ml milk

Preparation:

  1. Slice meat into 6-7 steaks.
  2. Roll them in flour.
  3. Pour oil and put butter on a pan.
  4. Fry the steaks on both sides.
  5. Pour broth into a saucepan with a thick bottom, put canned tomatoes, onion and pour tomato sauce. If you use fresh tomatoes, peel and blanch them beforehand.
  6. Put meat into the saucepan, cover it with a lid. Braise it for 1 hour and 30 min.
  7. Make trickled pastries: sift flour in a bowl, pour leavening agent, salt, and milk, and put an egg. Mix carefully.
  8. Take the pastry with a teaspoon and put them into the saucepan with meat. Boil for 20 min.
  9. Put meat, onion and trickled pastries on a dish. Pour over it boiled juice, left after frying meat.

Advice:

Wet a teaspoon with water to prevent trickled pastries from sticking to it.
