Though Valentine’s Day has already passed, you can still make your half glad with a dish shaped like a heart.

The main advantage of the salad is its original design. Besides, it’s very tasty!

Ingredients:

  1. 500g beef heart 
  2. 250g canned mushrooms 
  3. 1 onion 
  4. 2 cloves of garlic 
  5. 100g cheese 
  6. 250g mayonnaise 
  7. 50g chopped English walnuts 
  8. 1 sweet red pepper 
  9. Greens to decorate

Preparation:

  1. Boil heart beforehand in salted water during 2 hours.  Peel the boiled heart of the films. Dice it. 
  2. Peel the onion, slice it into thin rings. Fry it with a little oil and then chill. 
  3. Chop big mushrooms finely. 
  4. Grate the cheese. 
  5. Chop the garlic. 
  6. Lay everything on the dish in layers: 1st – diced heart, 2nd – rings of fried onion, 3rd – mushrooms, 4th – grated cheese. On the top spread mayonnaise, mixed with garlic. 
  7. Repeat all the layers once again. Spread mayonnaise on the top lavishly. 
  8. Use a wide knife to shape the salad like a heart. Sprinkle milled English walnuts on the top. 
  9. Slice pepper into thin rings, cut them into halves and put on the dish, forming hearts. Also use some greens to decorate the salad.
     
    Advice:
    Before boiling the beef heart, soak it in cold water for an hour and a half.
    Canned mushrooms can be replaced by fried champignons. Pickles can be added to make the dish taste spicier.
    Each layer can be sparkles with fresh chopped greens, it will make the taste better.
    Before serving put the dish into the fridge for 30 min for it to soak.
